USAF/USN J60 and JT12 Engine Repair

Sabreliner's Perryville, Mo. operation has long maintained a full-service engine and engine accessory repair capability for the powerplants used on the majority of Sabreliners, the J60 and JT12. The original military T-39 aircraft utilized the J60-P-3, and the initial production Sabre Model 40's were equipped with the JT12A-6. These essentially are the same Pratt & Whitney 3,000 lb thrust engine, the primary difference being the first was certified to military standards, the other to civilian FAA regulations. The production Sabre Model 40 was later upgraded to the JT12A-8, still the same basic engine except with increased thrust of 3,300 lb. The higher-rated engine also was utilized on the later Sabre Model 60, the basis for the Navy CT-39G.

Sabreliner has successfully performed a number of J60/JT12 engine maintenance programs for the Government, both as stand-alone contracts and elements of broader aircraft support contracts. Sabreliner maintains an excellent relationship with the engine OEM, and a current library of engine technical data. Support includes parts inventories on hand for both the J60 and JT12, exchanges of JT12's for J60's, and outright sale of JT12's. Sabreliner also can overhaul and test fuel controls, fuel components, and other accessories as separate items as needed.
