Sabreliner became an independent, privately-owned company in 1983, when a group of investors purchased the business and assets of the Sabreliner Division of Rockwell International Corp. The core facility in Perryville, Missouri had served Rockwell as an assembly, completion, delivery, and maintenance center for the Sabreliner series of business aircraft. Since the formation of Sabreliner Corporation, the Perryville operation has continued as the OEM core facility for all levels of Sabreliner maintenance and manufacturing. Stringent OEM-level controls over maintenance and manufacturing remain in place; we maintain a current FAA Production Certificate (for Airplanes) and Repair Station Certificate, and we have FAA Parts Manufacturing Authority. We own all the original Sabreliner manufacturing tooling, and produce over 90% of the airframe structural parts in-house at Perryville.
Military usage of the Sabreliner aircraft (T-39 and CT-39 series) naturally led Sabreliner Corporation into Government contracting as the OEM support facility for these aircraft. Our Government aviation repair, modification, and manufacturing activities have expanded steadily over time, and we now provide these services for a variety of military and Public Use aircraft as either a prime contractor or a first-tier subcontractor.
Sabreliner has the proven capability to provide services for a very wide range of Government aircraft and their components, ranging in size from the T-37 "Tweet" to the C-5 "Galaxy". Our personnel are accustomed to working efficiently in partnership with Government personnel, and take pride in satisfying the particular requirements that usually pertain to Government contracting.
