Logistics Support

As in the cases of military aircraft and engine repair, Sabreliner Corporation gained its initial experience in the provision of complete logistics support packages in connection with the military versions of its own aircraft, the T-39 and CT-39 series. Beginning with the provision of complete depot-level and on-site T-39 aircraft and engine support to the Navy, Sabreliner has developed significant expertise in the logistics management techniques and controls required for successful interface with Government aviation and training installations. As the size of the programs we perform has steadily grown, we have also developed the management flexibility, insight, and interface procedures required to successfully perform as a team player, either as a prime contractor directing major subcontractors, or as a first-tier subcontractor.

Major programs in which we have recently participated, or which are now current, have required full-service fleet support in terms of scheduled and unscheduled on-site maintenance; heavy depot-level maintenance including damage repair, overhaul and painting; stocking and management of field and depot spares inventories and rotable pools; provision of contract pilots; and processing of all required military forms and records. We take pride in our record of achievement on these programs, which shows aircraft "mission capable" statistics continually higher than required, in addition to an outstanding history of safe aircraft operation.

In recent years the Government has shown increasing interest in Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) programs for its turbine engines as well as for complete aircraft. Sabreliner's engine maintenance operations have already worked on contracts incorporating elements of the CLS philosophy. We fully support further initiatives whose aim is to release organic personnel from routine engine support tasks, and are ready to participate.
